BRA STRAP TIPS

WHY WOULD I WANT DECORATIVE BRA STRAPS or STRAPITS

The new hype in fashion is all about lingerie accessories. Showing a regular bra strap has been called a fashion disaster by the top style editors. In today’s fashion world, it is all about shoulder candy and making a statement with chic looking straps. Gold or silver straps, beaded straps are all part of the new trend.

These new glamorous straps have graced the shoulders of celebrities for some time. Now more readily available to the public, these are the must-haves for any occasion.

Strapits are the newest in fashion innovation and style. These clips allow anyone to create their own fashion statement. These little clips are receiving praise from stylists to celebrities as being the hottest new accessory to hit the fashion world.

Practical reasons to wear these are simple. Regular bra straps showing simply ruin the look of any outfit. Unfinished and outdated. That look is out. Another reason, hold up the forever falling strapless bra. Wear a decorative strap that looks like fine jewelry and the outfit looks elegant and the bra stays where it should.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT STRAPITS

Strapits are four little clips that allow you to create your own bra straps. They are sold in a pack of four with one yard of reversible ribbon. They are simple to use. The clips open and close to allow you to slide the ribbon through. For a halter top, you would need two clips. Simply open the clip, slide the ribbon through and close the clip. Attach it to your convertible or strapless bra, wrap the ribbon around your neck and then slide the ribbon through the second clip and attach it to the bra. You may cut the extra ribbon or tuck it into your bra. For regular style straps, cut the ribbon in half and put a clip on either end of the two pieces of ribbon, two straps four clips. Attach to your bra. You can adjust the length of the strap from the front clip while once you have the bra on. Simply open the clip, pull the ribbon through until it gives you the support you desire and close the clip.

You may purchase ribbon or trim through this site or find other ribbon and trim through your favorite fabric store.

CAN I USE THE STRAPS OR THE STRAPIT CLIPS WITH ANY BRA?

No. These straps and the Strapit Clips work with a convertible bra or a strapless bra that is made to have straps put on. Many Department stores carry these bras but we have found the best selection at Victoria’s Secret. If there isn’t one near you, you can find them on the internet by typing in Victoria’s Secret and the convertible bras.

CAN I WASH THEM?

It is not a good idea to wash these. Take any of the straps or clips off before washing your bra. Some of the ribbons are washable but the beaded, gold and silver straps are not. Simple wipe them off with a damp cloth.

ARE THE STRAPS ADJUSTABLE?

Yes. All of our straps are adjustable. The beaded straps adjust with a strapits clip by opening the clip, pulling the strap through to the desired length then closing the clip. The partially beaded adjust the same way a regular bra strap does, with a slide adjuster. The gold and silver have a little chain to adjust the length. Simply open the clip, pull the chain through to the desired length and close the clip. The Strapits allow you to adjust the length of any ribbon the same way.

HOW STURDY ARE THE STRAPS?

The partially beaded, thin color and rhinestone straps are made from elastic materials that have a little stretch, support weight and are comfortable. The all beaded straps are strong but are a little more fragile then the elastic straps. They do not give. We don't recommend wearing them too tightly but they do give support. The gold and silver are sturdy.
